"Quiver" is constructed of sheet metal and stainless steel wire and has been beautifully painted with black, khaki, and verdigris (bluish green) oval shaped elements. The stainless steel wires are unpainted.
The arms with the small ovals suggested a "quiver" of arrows to me, and they fan out in a dramatic and beautiful effect as the mobile moves. This hanging mobile measures approximately 38 inches tall x 69 inches wide and swings around in 108" (9 ft.) diameter arc. This is a large mobile! This is an original design, hand crafted, museum quality, and has been signed and dated by the artist. There is a small "#1" after the date, indicating that this is the first mobile made of this design. |
